Woman Stabbed Multiple Times in West Hamilton, non-life-threatening

Hamilton Police are searching for a man in his late 20s who is the suspect in a West Hamilton stabbing late Saturday evening.

Staff Sergeant Gary Thompson says a 30-year-old woman is in hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries from multiple stab wounds.

The stabbing occurred behind the Hasty Market on Main West at the intersection of Whitney Avenue. Police say there was an altercation and the suspect fled after stabbing the woman. They do not know what the relationship between the victim and suspect is.

The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound on foot along Whitney and is described as:

  • male, white;
  • late 20s;
  • 5′ 10″;
  • medium build;
  • 170 lbs;
  • brown hair;
  • wearing a dark coat.
