An appeal of the City’s Airport Employment Growth District plan to the Ontario Municipal Board by Environment Hamilton and Hamiltonians for Progressive Development has failed.
The OMB ruling means the City’s plan for expansion of the urban boundary and rezoning of land to ’employment lands’ can move forward.
EH and HPD argued the expansion of employment lands on greenfields was unnecessary as the City has other lands – especially brownfields – available.
