Summer is over for your reporter this morning as City Hall drops thousands of pages of next week’s agendas this afternoon, the stadium fiasco continues to be … well.. a fiasco, and I work to crowdfund my work to keep reporting this fall ([and would appreciate your support](https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/elect-coleman-hamilton-s-election-journalist)).

Today’s photo of one I took on my smartphone of the Cannon Bike Track walking into the office this morning.

Today’s Coverage Plan

  • 10:15am?City update on Stadium occupancy permit. (Live Video)
  • 1:00pm – City releases agendas for next week’s meetings. (Public Works, Planning, General Issues, Governance Review, Grants.)
  • 2:00pm – Event at Boys and Girls Club (Not for coverage)

At present, it appears the City will be holding individual meetings with media from 10:15 to 11:15. I’ve created a live event in case it becomes a press conference.

Agendas for next week’s meetings become public at 1pm. I’m told from the City’s printing officer that this coming week is going to be a record for items. I have a quick event to attend at the Boys and Girls Clubs and then I’m locking myself down to review agendas.

I’ll be publishing articles for next week’s meetings as I complete agenda reviews tonight.

Today’s JoeyColeman.ca Feature

I’ve written an longer piece entitled “As Centenary Church Looks Towards Demolition, We Need To Talk About the Future of Church Buildings” on the topic of the future of churches and adaptive reuse. I hope you’ll take a read and let me know what you think.
