This post, a country song I’m enjoying: Woman Like You by Lee Brice
I quite enjoy the background rhythm, but it’s the lyrics that catch me. They are predictable – listing off all the guys things we eventual give up when our bachelor days come to their inevitable end. Fishing, sports cars, bachelor pad, poker nights … no mention of pinball (so that’s not the reason I enjoy the song).
It’s the surprise element that catches me – after listing off all these things, the lyrics say the man would be looking for the woman he’s signing to if he was still a single man.
